    Description

This three-tier jubako/bento box is truly an antique.  Dating from the late 1800s I found it at an estate sale years ago.  It is made from heavy porcelain with symbols in blue and white and appropriate age staining and wear.  This is a jubako because it is stacked with a lid.
Look closely at the photos and you will appreciate the antiquity of this piece.  Definitely edgewear.  It measures 5 inches high and is 5 inches by 3 and 1/2 inches in size.
Jubako/Bento are designed to carry meals in compartments--the top section is divided for something with an area for sauce!  The other sections might hold sushi or onigiri or perhaps mochi for dessert!
The successful bidder will pay the actual calculated cost of Priority Mail shipping anywhere within the United States.  No international shipping.
